Published 19 March 2009 by BWL

A Hawk And A Hacksaw have been confirmed as support to both Andrew Bird and Wilco on their tours this April. Sandwiched in the middle of these shows, the group will play headline concerts in Pittsfields, Massachussetts, and Minneapolis. AHAAH will be performing as a four piece on this tour. Alongside core duo of Jeremy Barnes (accordion, percussion, vocals) and Heather Trost (violin, vocals) will be Mark Weaver (tuba), who played on AHAAH's last two albums, and Chicago-based Samuel Johnson (trumpet).

A Hawk And A Hacksaw also appear at this year's SXSW. AHAAH join the Hometapes/The Leaf Label showcase at Habana Bar, joining labelmates Efterklang. They will also appear at the Other Music/DigForFire.tv's lawn party, at the French Legation. All dates can be seen below.

Over recent months, AHAAH have been busy recording its fourth album, 'Délivrance, due for release later this May. The first single from the album, 'Foni Tu Argile' will be released as a digital single and strictly limited edition 10" single, cut at 78rpm! More info soon!
