Jherek Bischoff at the BBC Proms
Published 14 April 2016 by DM
Following his recent collaboration with Amanda Palmer, Strung Out In Heaven: A Bowie String Quartet Tribute, Jherek Bischoff was invited to perform at the star-studded David Bowie tribute concert at Radio City, New York on April 1st. He performed alongside the likes of Pixies, Blondie, Michael Stipe and The Flaming Lips. Fine company indeed.
Now Jherek is coming over to this side of the pond to help celebrate David Bowie’s life as part of the BBC Proms on July 29th… at the Royal Albert Hall! Details of the full line up are yet to be confirmed, but it will include Amanda Palmer and Anna Calvi performing music from Strung Out In Heaven, and Jherek will also be arranging other Bowie songs especially for the evening. We will keep you posted as to when tickets are on sale. In the meantime you can keep an eye here for developments.
In May and June, Jherek will be hitting the road on a co-headline tour of the US with Mirah. He will be taking this opportunity to air music from his forthcoming album. More on that soon...
Tour dates on our Live Page.
Matthew Bourne interview and mixtape

Matthew Bourne's moogmemory tour was a beautiful thing. His audiovisual collaboration with Michael England was the perfect encapsulation of Bourne's ode to his friends, influences and synthesiser. The Quietus caught up Matt for a chat about all of the above and coaxed a Synthesiser mixtape out of him. Check it out here.
Bourne will be returning to London with his trusty Memorymoog on June 4th at New River Studios.
