Nightports w/Matthew Bourne album out now
Published 2 March 2018 by DM

Nightports w/Matthew Bourne is out today. It features lots of pianos and seamless, subtle electronic manipulations. Perfect staying by the fire and watching the weather music. You'd be mad to just take our word for it. Try it out for yourself.

Available, as ever on Bandcamp or the Leaf shop. Or indeed on the whole internet.

Unfortunately the vinyl edition has been delayed by a couple of weeks. We will endeavor to get pre-orders to you as soon as possible and it will be in shops on March 30th.

Snapped Ankles - CIA Man (NSA Man Violation)
Published 2 March 2018 by DM

Great news from the frozen forest floor! Snapped Ankles have a new single out today. 'CIA Man (NSA Man Violation)' is a filthy saw tooth take on The Fugs’ call to arms, retrofitted with razor sharp witted lyrics for the Edward Snowden generation. Vital!

Listen in.

Snapped Ankles - Violations for Record Store Day 2018
Published 6 March 2018 by DM

We coaxed Snapped Ankles out of the undergrowth with the promise of a good scratch behind the ears and a nice spot in front of the fire. In return they’ve delivered a blistering covers EP of popular hits of the forest. Your first taste is their take on The Fugs’ ‘CIA Man’. Can, Joey Beltram and The Comateens also get the Ankles treatment.

Violations will be released on April 21st for Record Store Day 2018, strictly limited to 750 copies on white vinyl. There are no pre-orders. Fill a flask full of Bovril and start queuing at your local independent record shop NOW to avoid disappointment.

Published 27 March 2018 by DM

Strange lights sighted in the Yorkshire moors? That’ll be the new video for ‘Exit’ by Nightports w/Matthew Bourne. Produced by Process Moving Image and hosted by XLR8R. I want to believe.

The Nightports w/Matthew Bourne album is out now and available to buy/listen to here. Can we point you in the direction of the LP+CD edition, half-speed mastered for fidelity and packaged in a beautiful die-cut outer sleeve designed by Split? We can and we have.

Laurence Pike - Distant Early Warning
Published 29 March 2018 by DM

Happy Easter everyone. We have the perfect accompaniment for a long weekend of chocolate indulgence, in Laurence Pike’s debut solo album Distant Early Warning. Exquisite melt in the mouth drum lattices, lovingly wrapped around decadent synthesised caramel centres. It is available to stream/download on Bandcamp now, and in shops and on services tomorrow. Go on. Treat yourself.

For the best part of two decades Pike has operated at the cutting edge of the electronic and jazz music worlds, releasing albums to critical acclaim and touring the world with his bands PVT (formerly Pivot), Triosk and Szun Waves. On Distant Early Warning he carves himself a moment of reflection. The calm in the eye of the storm. An ominous portent as rocks appear on the horizon.

Laurence is touring in Europe throughout April, including a run of dates supporting James Holden & The Animal Spirits and a free headline show at The Waiting Room in London on April 9th. No excuses. You have been warned.
